How to make multimedia furniture

Having a rather big apartment, but no spare room for computer equipment makes it neccesary to do some clever stuff to store the equipment that needs to be running at all times.
- I have one server that runs this and other websites I manage. The computer is also my webserver and router. This machine needs to be running at all times
- I have one Media Center PC. Not Microsofts Media Center, but GB-PVR. This machine needs to be running at all times.
- I also have several other computers. Among them a Mac I use for editing movies. I dont need this one running, but I need room for it.
The room where these PC’s are placed are now in need to be our childs room. Edvart is so big that we can let him have his own room.
How can we solve this problem? What I plan to do is to build furniture thats capable to use for the allways on computers and maybe use this as a place to use as a small office in our living room.
I have read several internet sites about how to accomplish this. Eirik Solheim in particular has some great tips on how to make this kind of furniture and this article is meant to have pointers to his inspiring articles.
