Google Sketchup for free – gratis and ready for download

Google aquired @Last Software, the producer of the simple and powerfull CAD/Design-application Sketchup some months ago. There have been speculation of what Google wanted to do wit the aplication. Now the free version of Sketchup has been released. With Skethcup for personal use it will be simple to design kitchens, gardens, etc. It can also be used to design 3-D models for use in Googles popular Google earth program.

Make any Windows-aplication virtual

SoftGrid 4.0 promises all enterprises simplified handling of all Windows aplications.
The SoftGrid aplications virtualises Windows programs on the serverside and “streams” them to any Windows clients with the SoftGrid-client installed. This makes it easy for an enterprise to ahve one software package centralised and the client PC has the updated aplication at any time.
This seems to be an easier way to centralise software instalation than Mcirosofts way of using Active Directory and MSI-packages.

“Well, this will be my third MP htpc since the beginning of the project 2 years ago.But this is by far my favorite.

I bought my first mac about a year ago when I was fed up with my PC’s need for another install after not being able to edit dvd’s etc anymore. You know, you get the weirdest errors sometimes only fixable with a reinstall.I thought about buying a mac prior to the mac mini before but the “unkown” kept me from doing it.”

PhotoMosaic facilitates very easy and fast creation of picture mosaics. The final image comprises about a thousand tiny images (thumbnails). But, unlike other software, PhotoMosaic allows you to obtain a good result using very few pictures. However, an optimum result requires big pictures, so, with the monitor, it is inherently rather difficult to visualize the result obtained. The software is therefore intended more for printing.
